Smiling Mind App

image An iPad app (App Store) and Android app (Google Play Store) that provides teachers and students with a wide range of mindful meditation activities suitable for a variety of ages.

There is also a Smiling Mind website which provides more information and resources.  Sign up with an email to access these resources both on the internet and in the app.  I have also uploaded a research article related to mindful meditation and development of character strengths.

Thanks Sam for this resource. I am interested in learning how to  support people including children with knowing how to relax, and I believe mindfulness helps achieve this. In our fast paced society with lots of anxieties and stress it helps if people have the ability to take time out to calm themselves.

    Kia ora Claire

I appreciate your affirming feedback, particularly in relation to mindfulness.  Like you, I believe it is showing or teaching children 'how' to be mindful, relax, calm etc. that needs to be prioritised.  Meditation is one way to do that and is a centuries old proven method.  Thanks again, Claire.
