Online Assessments in Economics Level 1,2 and 3

Online assessments are common at tertiary level.

Although some of our high school students are tested using online assessments most are not regularly exposed to these. Teachers are generally not using online assessments in the senior school.

I suspect that there is a strong push to have at least some of the NCEA assessed online in the relatively near future.

Online assessments need not consist of multiple choice questions alone. They can be made to look attractive and when used as a formative assessment tool can encourage reflective learning.

This resource includes online assessments covering most of the content of the externally assessed Economics Achievement Standards at level 1, 2 and 3. They can be used on Moodle (or any other LMS) as formative, reflective assessments and learning tools.

The resource is available free of charge to all teachers.
