Prezi and Literature

We used ICTs to encourage student to create their own digital learning objects in three units of work. The aim was for students to use the content and creative tools on the web to explore, develop and share their own ideas.


1) Students used Prezi Meeting to collaborate on the production of a Prezi that explored the connection between Animal Farm and the Russian Revolution. They were able to work together in groups from different computers and finish them at home, working from their own homes. This changed the focus of Prezi from a presentation tool, to a collaborative workspace with the production of a resource as an outcome. The Prezis were then shared in our Moodle course.


Students created their own research focus questions about key issues in young driver safety. I used Livebinder to collate useful sites (http://www.livebinders.com/play/play/166838) and directed the students to it from our Moodle course.

They shared their findings with Google Docs and then created their own digital texts aimed at persuading other young people to be aware of and take control of risk factors when in the car. They could use any tool they chose to construct the text. (Slowmation, Moviemaker, iMovie, PPT and Photoshop were some)
