    Hi Chris
I am really interested in finding out more about how you have basically ditched exercise books in your class. Just read your post to the ipad/chromebook discussion and I'd really like to continue the discussion as to what you are doing in your class especially in Maths.
I'm at Te Awamut Intermediate and we are implementing byod school wide next year but I have been trialling it this year. Hope to hear from you!

    Hi Chris!
Yes... We have been using the iUgo tool for 2 years now. Initially it took a lot of 'getting our heads around it' and some of the applications were not particularly user friendly. However, this year the team behind iUgo have made a number of changes in response to our suggestions and I'm sure those of others. Tracey Henderson is our contact and she is amazing. She is very responsive to our wishes and can make changes to the programme to suit our needs very quickly. We have recently redefined our vision and have developed our own Te Kowhai School Learner Qualities and also literacy progressions across all levels. Tracey has been able to use these to custom build the planning tool for our school. Now we are able to use our own progressions, values and qualities rather than just using the stock standard variety. We have also found that iUgo is particularly valuable on our journey into the world of MLEs and collaborative teaching models. We are able work together to plan programmes which involve children from other classes and we also have access to the planning of our team and other staff members in the school. We have certainly found it useful and it has made the planning process considerably more streamlined. Let me know if you would like to know any more. I suggest you get in contact with Tracey...mention Te Kowhai School and she will be able to give your even more details.

    Goos luck!
