About me

Tena koutou katoa.  Ko Tāwhirirangi te maunga. Ko Mohaka te awa.

Ko Takitimu te waka. Ko Ngāti Kahungunu te Iwi. Ko Ngāti Pahauwera te Hapū.

KoTe Waipapa-a-iwi te Marae. Ko Te Kahu-o-te-Rangi te Wharenui. Ko Rongomaiwahine te Wharekai.

Ko Jo taku ingoa. He kaiako ahau. Ko Paihia taku kura. Nō reira, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou,tēnā tātou katoa.

I enjoy my job and get great satisfaction seeing pupils grow and mature into young adults.

I enjoy teaching Te Reo and hope to become more skilled.

Tēnā Koe Jo, At first when I uploaded the file I didn't know where it went..lol

Then I realised it gets posted on your personal profile - When you post a comment (like how I am now) you can upload your file by looking for the 'embed/upload media' link (top-right of the comment box as you are writing your message). This should bring you to your computer files and you just find the file you want and click on it.....I like your other ideas for the use of the phrases - that's the beauty of something simple, it can be modified many ways.

I also get the students to do bilingual skits where they use some of the Maori phrases - they really enjoy that. I also do this with proverbs/whakatauki where they have to use the whakatauki/proverbs in a context so the skit shows their understanding of the proverb.
