My name is Jill Faber and I teach at Mahinawa Specialist School and Resource Centre in Porirua, Wellington (Formerly Kapi Mana School)

We cater for students from 5 - 21 years with Special Needs and Intellectual Disabilities.

We have recently moved into a purpose built new school which has been fitted out with new technology throughout the Centre. This includes Interactive Whiteboards in all classrooms.

We have a Specialised Music Room, Library, Teaching Kitchen, Art Room, Therapy Room, Sensory Area plus Specialised Outdoor play areas incorporating a walking track and sensory garden.

I am an ICT Lead Teacher and am released one day a week to work with our staff and students. I belong to an ICT PD cluster incorporating 6 special schools in the Lower North Island.
