Hi There Ladies! Ive finally worked out how to use this van! Hoping it can be a go to tool for me as I make the transition from teacher to head teacher at Wairarapa TPU next year! First question is "what are some of the different ways you use your star funding? We currently purchase star courses at Ucol, travel and tourism, driving and porse. Next year I am investigation using Open Polytech for ECE cert so won't be purchasing Porse. Am keen to hear other ideas. Thanks Prue

Hello Averil We have had a van from the beginning. We now have two. It does mean employing a van driver plus the cost of the van. The thing about the van is the girls form a relationship with the van driver. They can become a significant other person for some of the girls and their children. We got our second van through funding grants so it doesn't need to come out of your operations. The paying of a driver is not expensive if that is all they do. My van drivers have other responsibilities so their pay recognises this. We also get conveyance from Multiserve if students are 4.8ks from the school as we are special character. The timing is about 1.5 hours am and pm if everyone is at school so you would be paying someone 3 hours a day.
