About me

Born and bought up in Christchurch, and living in Dunedin since 1990.

I have taught since 1989 and was a principal from 1994-2011. I have taught at all levels of the primary school from Y4-8 and usually in multi-level classes.

My teaching has been at Redwood School in Christchurch (with my New Entrant teacher as Principal – bizarre!) and Abbotsford School in Dunedin. As a principal I have had the privilege of working at Taieri Beach School, Pine Hill School and Outram School.

Until the end of 2011 I had been at school since I was 5 (school, teachers college, and then school again) except for a year with CORE Education as an ICT PD National Facilitator. I am passionate about learning – my own and that of ALL the people in the school or organisation.

Now in the BeL Team with CORE based in Dunedin.

Kia ora Greg - nice to have you in this PL community. You're making some great contributions to discussions :)

Kia ora Greg, I have been enjoying reading your contributions in the VLN of late.

To keep abreast of all things e-learning, you might like to join us in our parent group, Enabling e-Learning, to be in touch with the cross-section of e-learning activities [/pg/groups/118255/enabling-elearning/] including our weekly e-learning round-up [/pg/blog/owner/group:118255] and the other e-learning folk in our community:-)

Looking forward to a catch up soon :-)

  • Enabling e-Learning

Great to be part of your network, Greg! Check out the five e-Learning groups the Ministry is developing - there may be one (or more!) that suits your interests /pg/profile/Enabling.eLearning. Looking forward to working with you here on the VLN:-) Warmest regards, Ngā mihi nui, nā Karen

Kia ora Greg, good to 'see you' in here. How are things down your way? I'm here to help - as the online facilitator for the National Blended eLearning Programme. I see you're friends with Enabling eLearning in NZ schools, you can also join the groups @ /pg/profile/Enabling.eLearning

You can also get to know about this space (setting up profiles, adding images, RSS feeds etc) by going to /pg/groups/25604/getting-started-on-the-vln/.
    Talk to you soon, Tess:)
