About me
Kia ora everyone.
I am from the South - arrived after being Principal at Golden Bay High School (Yrs 7-13) in Takaka for 6 years. I have worked at all levels in a variety of secondary schools, including HOD, Dean and Guidance Counsellor. I worked for my Certificate in Coaching with people from the University of Sydney in 2005.
While on short term contracts with ERO, I worked in quite a few Primary Schools, and really appreciated the opportunity of seeing primary teachers at work.
For the last 7 years I worked in a variety of schools across the Central North Island, firstly for Waikato University School Support Services, and latterly as an independent contractor.
My interests are reading, learning, natural history, tramping and travel.
Hi Gael, yes thanks I made a start on Module 1 last week. I have been away for a few days and oh my gosh hasn't everyone been busy! I need to switch off post notifications that is for sure. I'm looking forward to meeting our PLG and getting my head around all of this. Are we meeting on 12th March? Tauranga? Have I got this right?
I have also been reading through the NAPP curriculum and to try and sort out where (and if) my inquiry idea fits into it. I have also read through the tasks for this term in vln.
I have enjoyed the dialogue around Cultural Contexts that is going on in Korero 1. Thought-provoking and is making me re-look (again) at my own core beliefs and values and whether I expect those I work with to have the same.
Hi gael. I am finding my way around slowly. like many others I was a little overwhelmed but am feeling more confident now.
Hi Gael, not sure how to access MyPortfolio or the Kahikatea group. could you give me some advice please.
