About me

I teach a New Entrant reception class at Riverlands School. I currently run a successful transition to school programme but I am always looking for new ideas on how to help my children and parents transition to school seamlessly. We are about to embark on  a major building project turning the 3 old , detached classrooms in my team into a modern learning environment. This is very exciting but also a little scary. The groups on this site are so full of innovative ideas that I am sure our journey will be an exciting one.

I am a mum of  2 grown up children. One has followed Mum and Dad into the teaching profession, teaching English and History at secondary level and a son way off in Perth working hard and enjoying life.

Kia ora Karen and welcome to the Blended e-learning Literacy group.

This is a group to support the e-Learning aspect of raising student achievement in literacy.

Do use the Group discussion navigation tab to join in and/or initiate discussion about the use of e-Learning to support literacy. Share your favourite tools or readings through the Group bookmarks or expand on this in the Group blog.

Remember, the best way to learn something is to teach it, so be active in this space and contribute your ideas to enrich the practice of all.

Looking forward to working with you online.

    Ngā mihi nui, nā Anne
