About me
Kia ora,
I have recently completed my part time study to become a Resource teacher for Learning and Behaviour and work with an inspiring group of colleagues and schools in and around north Dunedin.
Following almost 20 years in primary classrooms in the UK and New Zealand I have followed my passion and am now enjoying working collaboratively with teachers and families to meet the diverse needs of their students. Although I still very much miss having my own class it is an awesome opportunity to explore, experience and share effective evidence-based practices within schools.
Areas of particular interest for me include: cooperative learning, emotional intelligence, social and emotional aspects of learning, assistive technologies, inquiry and the writing process.
Tēnā koe Mike,
Welcome to the iPad group on the VLN.
There are lots of great resources to be found here particularly in the discussions and bookmarks.
Please have a good look around and join in the discussions.
Have a great start to the new teaching year.
Cheers
Allanah
Haere mai and welcome to Enabling e-Learning Technologies and Teaching groups Mike. Good to have you on board.
I'd like to invite you to pop into the other sub-communities listed on the main Enabling e-Learning page, too, to browse current discussions in the specialised groups [http:///groups/profile/118255/enabling-e-learning].
We hope you can join us in the term 3 activities [/blog/view/694896/whats-on-in-term-3] and that you enjoy the weekly e-learning round-up on the blog [/blog/group/118255/all].
Looking forward to working with you online. Ngā mihi nui, nā Tessa.
PS can you share one or two professional details on your profile to help us connect skills and interests more easily? Thanks again Tess :-)
Hi Mike, can you make a cluster group for your cluster please? It should be identifiable by your cluster name, ie the amalgamation of your three schools. Let me know if you have any problems with this
