About me

As a teacher and principal I was always looking at a better way to engage learners. More than twenty years ago I stumbled across the concept of neuro science and was inspired. For me it answered so many "why questions" related to behaviour and learning. This led me to study in the USA and to complete a Masters degree in neuro, cognitve and behavioural learning. In 2004 I resigned from principalship  and became a consultant in brain compatible learning. This is not pure neuro science. It is a combination of how we think, learn and behave with examples of highly successful classroom practice. It is about understanding learning so that we can use our own unique skills to teach better.

As a facilitator I have had the opportunity and continue to be open to work with schools, ICT facilitators.

Welcome to our Enabling e-Learning groups, Mike. I'm sure your experience and expertise will be valuable :-) I hope our growing community can support your learning, too.

It would be great if you could join us in our parent group, Enabling e-Learning, to be in touch with the wider e-learning community [/pg/groups/118255/enabling-elearning/]. This includes our weekly e-learning round-up [/pg/blog/owner/group:118255] and connections to other e-learning folk across NZ:-)

Looking forward to working with you. Ngā mihi nui, nā Karen.
