About me

I am a primary trained teacher currently teaching a Year 3 - 4 class in a 460 pupil, decile 2 school in Masterton in the beautiful Wairarapa. Over the years I taught from Years 3 - 8 including multi level classrooms in a small rural school and as a specialist computing teaching at an intermediate.  As the teacher in charge of e-learning at my current school, the focus is now on how to embed the use of digital technologies into the teaching and learning programme across the curriculum areas and to develop cyber smart and cyber safe kids.  I am currently a part of and have been involved in for the last 13 years, the local ICT cluster in our area and it is interesting to see the change in thought and the growth in teaching using e-Learning over this time.  I am always looking for ideas and inspiration for using e-Learning within the teaching and learning programme and also as a way to communicate with family and community and for students to record, reflect on and share their learning.
