About me

He puāwai nō runga i te tikanga

He rau rengarenga nō roto i te raukura

Ko tōu raukura he manawanui ki te āo

Kia manawanui, kia manawanui, kia manawanui

I am currently a Kaitakawaenga (facilitator) in the Professional Learning and Development sector for te reo Māori in English-medium schools - Poipoia te Reo. The focus of this provision is on providing support for high quality teaching and learning of te reo Māori.

Poipoia te Reo is a regional PLD provision that adopts a blended approach to support schools to improve school-wide quality teaching and learning of te reo Māori as a second language.  The name  ‘Poipoia te Reo’ reflects the vision for our work, which is ‘Poipoia te reo, hei reo e ora ana, e kaha ana, e haumako ana – Secure the future of te reo Māori as a living, dynamic and rich language’.
