About me

I am a primary trained, secondary science teacher. I have always taught in low decile secondary schools with a mainly Pacifika and Maori student group.

Love the challenge, the culture and the warmth of the kids I share my days with. I learn far more from them than they will ever realise.

Kia ora Marlene, me again...I see a loooong way back you made a comment in the thread on Project Based Learning @ /discussion/view/691210?orderby=latest about secondary schools using a project-based or inquiry based learning process "with NCEA assessment as the end focus".

I thought you might be interested in some stories emerging about Inquiry based learning in secondary here: [/discussion/view/813419]

as well as a recording of a webinar on Secondary curriculum, NCEA and e-learning [http://bit.ly/1bclTyB]: 28 August. Guest presenters Steve Mouldey and Tim Gander shared their experiences of integrating e-learning into effective learning design for students in a secondary school context - with specific references to implications for NCEA. You can also follow the conversations in the discussion thread, NCEA and e-learning | Designing for success [/discussion/view/828262]

Hope this helps for now :-)
