About me

I am thrilled to have joined the PB4L Restorative Practice (RP) team as the project manager. I have been in the education sector for over 40 years having done my teacher training at Hamilton Teachers College 1971-73. I began my teaching career at Te Kuiti Primary School in 1974 and then spent time teaching in the Far North and was in senior leadership roles in Central Auckland before joining Cognition Education Ltd in 2003. My work with Cognition bought me into contact with fantastic teams of leaders and facilitators from IPL through the Te Toi Tupu PLD contract, so when the opportunity came up to join the team here I grabbed it with both hands.

I am really looking forward to working with the RP team and learning from and with them as we support schools and communities to engage with this work.

Stan and I live in Cambridge and have three wonderful daughters, three great sons-in-law and two gorgeous grandchildren, one who is entering her teenage years and the second who is in the terrible twos.

I see you've yet to join some groups, maybe I could suggest some groups to help you get the most out of the VLN.

You might like to join the "Getting started on the VLN" group, here you will find a wealth of tips to help you get the most out of the VLN.

If e-learning is your passion, you might like to join this group too. /groups/profile/118255/enabling-elearning/ There are several more e-learning sub-groups you might like to join too for on-going conversations.

Each fortnight we put together the e-learning round-up on the blog, it is well worth skimming through to see the latest discussions and links, /blog/group/118255/all.

Looking forward to working with you online.

    Ngā mihi nui, nā Tessa.
