About me

I have worked in and around the field of education for students who require extra support in regular or special school settings for many years.

Prior to joining the Specialist Teacher Outreach Service in March 2014 I spent the 8 months as an assistive technology advisor for the Ministry of Education. I have also worked for Autism Queensland, been e-Learning teacher and SENCO at Windley School in Porirua, 2005 e-Fellow, teacher and Deputy Principal at Kimi Ora School, Wellington.

For many students, technology enables access to knowledge and this is a subject I am passionate about especially for students who struggle with the more conventional modes of learning.

Kia ora Judy and welcome to the VLN.

I am part of the online team and we are here to support you and help you get the most out of the VLN community.

I see you have not yet joined any groups, maybe I could suggest some to help you get the most out of the VLN.

You might like to join the "Getting started on the VLN" group, here you will find a wealth of tips to help you get the most out of the VLN.

If e learning is your passion, you might like to join this group too. /groups/profile/118255/enabling-elearning/

Each fortnight we put together the e-learning round-up on the blog, it is well worth skimming through to see the latest discussions and links, [/blog/group/118255/all].

Looking forward to working with you online.

    Ngā mihi nui, nā Catriona.
