About me

I am currently the acting HOD of ESOL at Otumoetai College.  2018 is my seventh year teaching here and as well as ESOL, I also teach Geography.  I completed the Graduate Certificate in TESSOL through Massey in 2015/2016.

AT OTC we have a large group of International students each year, generally between 80 and 100 students from Europe and Asia. At least half of the students are engaged in ESOL classes.  Currently we assess using Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 EL standards and we are aiming to start using Level 4 EAP for University Entrance in 2019.

If e-learning is your thing, you might like to join this group too.
/groups/profile/118255/enabling-elearning/ There are several more e-learning sub-groups you might like to join too for on-going conversations.

Each fortnight we put together the e-learning round-up on the blog, it is well worth skimming through to see the latest discussions and links, [/blog/group/118255/all].

Looking forward to working with you online.

    Ngā mihi nui, nā Tessa.
