About me

After Greg graduated from Auckland University he had the pleasure of teaching in a wide variety of learning environments around the world during the dawn of the digital revolution, from classes of 60 Year 12s with only a blackboard and cassette player, to classes of 12 Year 3s in this century in well-funded custom-built digital labs and multimedia classrooms. As more effective ICTs were used in the classroom, he saw fewer classroom management issues, better performance and engagement, happier more motivated students and much more effective lessons – and most noticeably he witnessed first-hand the dramatic improvement in student achievement and outcomes.
Greg also worked in management capacities at a wide variety of educational environments, from a small charter school in Africa to the huge Siam Institute of Technology in Thailand. Greg was responsible for stretching his own schools' IT budgets, so is passionate about helping schools get the best possible educational outcomes and value from their ICT investments.
Greg thinks now is a key transformational time in human history, and that technology and education are key to enabling change to higher order thinking and flipping not just the classroom but the whole world, so for the last 7 years has worked as an education technology consultant for NZ ICT companies specialising in education and eLearning support.  Greg is currently Google Education Business Development Manager for Schools at Cyclone.
