About me
I work for CORE Education as the Regional Team Leader for the Central North Region in the Blended e-Learning PLD project. Currently this involves mentoring and monitoring clusters of mostly secondary schools throughout New Zealand as they move through their ICTPD contract.
I am the archetypal 'lifelong learner' having combined full-time secondary teaching with ongoing university papers culminating in an MEd Leadership (Hons). I have taught in both primary and secondary schools, my ongoing interest in IT meant that whenever I could I included IT as part of my science and mathematics lessons. I have held a variety of positions in secondary schools, from HOD, Dean, Network Manager and Professional Development Team Leader.
Prior to taking up work with CORE Education I spent 4 years in the Middle East, based in Qatar and Abu Dhabi involved in whole school reform. This experience enabled me to crystallize my ideas about education and what works to enhance learning and achievement for students, which is afterall our goal in the new Blended e-Learning project. I am looking forward to the new challenges ahead.

Kia ora Diane, thank you for joining the Central North | Leading Effective e-Learning group. It is envisioned that these groups will become a central hub for a community of like-minded educators - focused on growing e-learning leadership, to impact change for our priority learners.
