Virtual Learning Network

This year the Englsih Departmeent at Rotorua Lakes High School have been sending weekly emails to parents/caregivers of junior classes. This has involved informing parents of what is being taught in class and the homework expectations for the week. There has been a positive response from parents, many of whom have been asked to be informed of any concerns with their child. 

Teachers have found that parents who NEVER attend parent/teacher evenings, are corresponding with the teacher about their child, via email.  Below is an outline of email correspondence with a parent who has never visited the school.
