This is the title of a course I recently attended facilitated by Mark Osbourne of Albany Senior high School. The day was a mix of content that largely focused on new and differernt apps for educators, and a number of web links for course participants to investigate later. There was also discussion around BYOD (Bring Your Own device) for students and sharing of how Mark's school is using e-portfolios.
PLUS:
My discovery of data syncing apps for syncing files between my various computers and mobile devices. having downloaded Dropbox I now know I can not only access my files anytime and anywhere, but am also working on the most up-to-date version of the file.
Lunch... it was absolutely great.
MINUS:
Most activities shared had secondary students / teachers as their intended target.
INTERESTING:
A discussion around Teaching as Inquiry wherein teachers constantly reflect on the current learning needs (next steps) for theit students, sharing their own learning with colleagues an aiming constantly to become a better teacher.
