5. The sector by sharing online professional reflections to inform colleagues of the challenges and opportunities afforded by e-learning

These reports will be shared with the sector online in the Virtual Learning Network [VLN] (/).

To participate in a wider professional learning community than that provided by our cluster, in a way that reinforces our learnings

 

To celebrate and share with others the learning undertaken in our cluster

Milestone 5Goal 1

a) students develop towards becoming successful digital citizens through engaging in an inquiry based scenario about digital citizenship and cyber-safety and subsequently having this new learning reinforced in everyday practice.

b) Student voice is recorded and uploaded to VLN.

Milestone 6Goal 1

a) Teachers integrate e-learning effectively into their practice creating an innovative and exciting learning environment for all students.

b) Students use self-assessment rubrics and peer reflections to improve their literacy across the curriculum.

c) Evidence is collated in student blogs, wikis and/or portfolio formats.

 

 

  • each teacher has a reflective record of their learning
  • shared professional development opportunities are appropriately uploaded
  • lead teachers regularly update the cluster’s contribution

 

 

 

 

Milestone 5

  • Cluster schools collect evidence of an inquiry based scenario about digital citizenship and cyber-safety in planning for Term 1
  • Cluster schools have student internet use policies and/or procedures in place
  • Student voice and observations recorded to provide evidence of digital citizenship understanding and practice.

 

 

 Milestone 6

  • Teacher planning has evidence of integration of digital technologies
  • Teachers use documented reflective processes which provide evidence of their teaching as inquiry – including reflection of how e learning practices are contributing to their meeting Teacher Registration Criteria and/or to improving  student achievement
  • Students in school have an online presence e.g. personal blogs or wikis
  • A collated summary is uploaded to the VLN

 

Tools to provide evidence will include a range of but not be limited to: blogs, wikis, photo stories, e portfolios, articles with embedded links to these
