Lead teachers have created a Facebook page for the school. Teachers were challenged to explore ways to provide opportunities for parents to comment on their students’ writing. Teachers explored a variety of ways to solicit comments on student writing. Some emailed work home, some posted on wikis, and some linked to Facebook.
The Facebook page currently has 97 likes. Some parents have become regular users and comment often on the photos and links on the page.
Overall, parents and students responded very positively to the opportunity to comment digitally on their students writing.

The introduction of the Ultranet will make interactions between school and family/whanau more common and easier.
