Respect and Protect

Last updated by Emma Watts

A cyber safety agreement can be very wordy!  Often we sign it and forget all about it.  So how can we make it a 'living document'?  Last year (2010) my class and I started a book that lived in the book corner so we could read it at any time.  Inside the book we recorded our ideas about what our school cyber safety agreement meant to us.  We regularly had discussions around using e-learning htorugh out the year.  I acted as scribe for the students ideas. We also chopped up our school agreement and matched to the cyber safety to Andrew Churches' concept of protecting and respecting whilst in the real world or online.

The next page was inspire from working with John Parsons from Stimulate2Education.  Students were regularly choosing photographs to put on the class blog so we discussed what would be a good photograph to upload that would both protect and respect ourselves and others.
