Description:

The Virtual Learning Network Community (VLNC) is a group of school clusters and organisations who choose to operate as a collaborative network, utilising digital technologies in order to enhance the learning outcomes and opportunities for learners (students, teachers, school communities and educators).

We believe that future focused learning is paramount in the 21st century educational landscape and the learners are front and centre in all we do.

The members of the VLNC work collaboratively but also in a reciprocal manner to provide learning pathways for both their students, staff as well as wider whanau and community.  This is made possible by harnessing the wide range of digital technologies available right across New Zealand.   With more schools becoming connected to the Managed Network (N4L), the digital tools operate in a seamless way.  No longer are schools restricted by the financial costs of expensive hardware, with many of our courses utilising video conferencing through a range of tools, such as google hangout, Zoom, desktop real presence.
