With a growing interest in Adobe Connect, Kymm McPhail has been working with a number of different organisations to help develop skills in this package and to consider a range of teaching methods. Included are members of; The Maori Medium NCEA project, Haka Project, Hamilton GSE Pilot and RTLB.
Training has been done on an indiviudal basis and resources supplied as backup. These resources are available online through group resources.
Lessons have been extremely interactive with those attending very quickly embarcing the technology and applying the knowledge to online learning.
Most have been surprised at how quickly they have been able to build skills in the use of Adobe Connect and apply these to their indiviudal situations.
The flexibility to Adobe Connect has allowed training to occur during the day, in the evenings depending on the location of the learners.
With the assistance of Kymm McPhail, members of OtagoNet will be working to up skill themselves and others in their cluster to incorporate the use of Adobe Connect in their online learning environments. Vicki from WestNet will also be involved regarding a specific project that Adobe Connect can be used to deliver.
