Week 11- ; Closing dates EAP and Korean Workshop

  • Public
Last updated by Breda Matthews

Hi everyone

Just a short post to remind you of two upcoming dates.

The first is that consultation and feedback for the proposed Level 3 EAP standards closes on Friday 14 July.

The proposed standards and the feedback form are available at this NZQA page.

I know it is now the school holidays but perhaps it will provide a breathing space to respond to this very important development. Please take time to respond.

The five standards closely mirror the Level 4 EAP standards and are set at CEFR Level low B2.

Things to consider might include:

  • Do these standards meet the learning needs of your learners?

  • Do they fill a current gap in assessment opportunities?

  • Which standards would you use / not use?

  • Are there any areas in the standards that you feel do or don’t work well?

  • What resources would you need to fully exploit the potential of these standards?

The second date is for the Asia New Zealand Foundation Korean Workshop which provides New Zealand educators the opportunity to travel to South Korea and learn about the country first-hand.  The deadline for applications is Friday 28 July.

Have a well deserved and restful break.

Kind regards
Breda
