Kua whakatauria ngā koronga reo mō te kāinga e koutou ko tōu whānau, Piripi?

Has your whānau set down the home Māori language goals yet, Piripi?

Piripi

Kei te tārewa tonu tērā kaupapa i te wā nei. Me āta tuhi e mātou i te pō nei.

There’s a bit of a delay at the mo. We’d better write it up tonight.

Our family should put our goals on a huge poster and hang it in the kitchen wall.

Rawinia

Me whakakapiti tonu e au ngā tōmina o tēnā, o tēnā o ōku tēina. Te heahea hoki!

I totally like that idea. I’ve still gotta put each of my sisters’ aspirations together. What a nuisance!

Hineata

We’ve set our language plan up so that it aligns with the Phrases of the Week resource that the Māori Language Commission produced. It’s a lot easier now.

Tāwera

Tēnā rā koe e te whare kōrero! Me pēnā hoki ahau.

Thank you oh great learned one! I should do the same.

Piripi

I’m liking the first phrase, “Come here, my darling!” Thank you my darling, Hineata!

Te katoa

Hahaha!

Bahaha!
