Hi everyone,

    Lots of lovely discussion this week.
 
We continued out discussion on texts on the topic of identity. Thank you to all those who contributed and are continuing to do so.  Ami - I wasn't able to download the poem - are you able to send it again?
 
Kaye is looking for resources for the 2000 word list suitable for Year 7 - 10 students. I seem to recall using DEE Publications workbook's. What resources have other used?
 
Rose asked about reporting against ELLP  for funding purposes. The discussion centred around the move from assessing against cohort to assessing against the ELLP matrices, how that works across age groups and how the matrices align with year / curriculum levels. Great questions and well worth us all considering as we move towards the next funding round.
 
Another great question was posed by Janette regarding formative and sumative assessment conditions. It would be great to hear how your schools manage these issues.
 
On the VLN Athlyn asked a question about  assessing the Level 3 Listening to instructions 28052. She would like to know if anyone has attempted writing assessment tasks / or adapting tasks for this standard as it is significantly different to previous listening standards.
 
Also on the VLN you will see that Julie Luxton has done a splendid job of tidying up resources so that they are easier to find. Many thanks Julie. Carla's original resource for 28056 is still there - it was a bit buried Carla but is now easily findable. It would be great to have Linda's adaptation of this back online too. Julie and I will make sure that it goes into the right place, Linda.
