Why Teaching as Inquiry?

Inquiry is recognised as an important strategy for learning by students and teachers alike.

For a teacher, inquiry involves identifying 'valued student outcomes' and adopting an evidence based approach to the trialling of strategies aimed at delivering these outcomes.

There are several different models of inquiry floating around the 'teacherverse', but they are really just variations on the same theme.
