Te Waharoa Ararau ā-Motu has been developed by the Ministry of Education for kura and schools using Te Marautanga o Aotearoa to set their literacy and numeracy teaching and learning programmes. This reporting tool has been developed to record schoolwide te reo Matatini and pāngarau learner achievement information in alignment to the NAG2A(c) requirement. Although it is not a requirement for kura and Māori medium settings to use this tool to report on 2012 data it is encouraged because it means that they can begin to collect their schoolwide data using a consistent process from this year.
