VLNC Logo  The Virtual Learning Network Community is committed to:

  • ensuring ALL learners have access to a quality public education within their own local community
  • the development of rich & relevant online, distributed learning opportunities which are personally meaningful and challenging, based around real world contexts and problems of learners
  • flexible, individualised, multimodal opportunities for life-long learning any where, place and time
  • nurturing students as ‘powerful learners' - resilient, resourceful, creative enthusiastic, able to thrive in uncertainty of the future
  • the vitality of ‘student voice' in shaping their own personalised, learning pathways, as active participants in every aspects of their whole learning process
  • ‘community centred learning' (students/teachers learning within knowledge building communities)
  • recognising and celebrating diversity - of culture, gender, ethnicity, talents, perspectives and ages
  • continuing to lead ‘educational transformation' (of learning, teaching, school practice) - going beyond existing ‘best practice'

The VLN Community - Home of the Learning Communities Online (LCO)

The Virtual Learning Network Community (VLNC) is a network of school clusters who collaborate to provide access to curriculum and learning opportunities for students through online learning.
