smiley LIVE WEBINAR:  Choosing and using robotics and electronics in authentic contexts: 21 August, 3.45pm - 4.45pm

How do you make decisions about what robotics and electronics to buy, and how to use them in your school? In this webinar, we'll an an open discussion around choosing and using digital technologies such as robotics and electronics in the curriculum. For this discussion to be rich and informative, we need you!

Choosing: The new digital technologies curriculum content is expected to be authentically integrated into the NZ Curriculum by 2020. Beyond unplugged activities, and as well as the digital technologies (computers, tablets, software) you already use, what else might you want to purchase? Robotics? Electronics? Peripherals? Not sure? What questions do you have?

Using: You’ve already purchased some equipment and now it’s gathering dust in the cupboard. Who’s leading and maintaining this equipment? Who gets access to these resources, when and how? Is there a timetable? Where are they being used - in the classrooms or a designated space?

Sign up for this informal session with Clive Francis as we discuss how to choose and use a variety of robotics and electronics that support both Computational Thinking and Designing and Developing Digital Outcomes. Register Now.
