You will need to ensure your computer is ready to launch a desktop application to view this workshop in Blackboard Collaborate (formerly called Elluminate). If you have already used Blackboard Collaborate before, you will not need to do the following.
Please go to Blackboard Collaborate First Time Users/Checking system requirements and see if you have the green tick. If you do, congratulations you may move to the next part of the set up. If you see the red cross you need to follow the instructions to download Java Web Start.
If you are unable to do this, please contact your own technical support people immediately. If you can download it and the red cross changes to a green tick, then it's time to move onto the next step.
Join the Configuration Room to test your connection and configure your audio. To view the hardware and software pre-requisites for Blackboard Collaborate, please visit www.elluminate.com/support
We recommend you login from at least 3pm to give yourself time to trouble shoot. Contact your admin support in the first instance if you are having issues. It is recommended you wear a set of headphones, headsets or echo cancellation microphone/speakers to help avoid any sound issues. Please feel free to contact Jane prior to this meeting, if you have any queries.
We look forward to connecting with you during this time.
