COLLABORATIVE CHALLENGE: Recruiting new staff 2018? Add your top tips here:

It’s that time of the year again, where school leaders recruit new staff and teachers look for new teaching roles. This can be demanding, challenging and in some cases stressful for those involved.

Several years ago we created a community challenge and invited you all to add to a collaborative doc – where you shared what kind of e-learning skills and knowledge teachers need to bring to their role if they were teach effectively.

Six years on, with an increased focus on digital fluency and the introduction of the new Digital Technologies | Hangarau Matihiko draft curriculum, we present a similar collaborative wero or challenge for you. What's changed?

In 2018, what kinds of skills, knowledge and attributes does a future-focused teacher need to bring to a new teaching role, and how might this be best presented in an interview/application process? 

Challenge: Contribute ONE top tip or idea/resource/example that would either support a teacher as they apply for new teaching positions, or help school leaders make informed decisions when recruiting new staff in 2018.
