Hi Everyone

A school I'm working with is looking to purchase 8 or so Chromebooks per class. The price difference is significant between a larger screen size such as 14" vs the 11" options.

My question is, has anybody regretted purchasing 11" screens because they are too small for students to work around together? Or, in practice do the smaller screen sizes work ok in pairs and groups?

Thanks in advance...

    Hi Clive

I manage Cyclone's involvement with device procurement for the Manaiakalani schools.  They use the 11" Chromebooks and IMHO have been creating amazing digital learning objects in pairs/groups on that size screen.

Something else to consider is using large TV's on trolleys with a Chromecast in the back, which students can cast to using the Chromecast for Edu application.  This provides them with the large screen for shared viewing.  May be a good way of using the cheaper device price to allow the purchase of other beneficial IT for their ILE's.

    Warm regards
