People-based learning design

As teachers we are designing learning everyday for the students in our classes. Learning design is more than the creation of learning activities. Rather, it encompasses the whole process - "the practice of planning, sequencing, and managing learning activities, usually using ICT-based tools to support both design and delivery" (Learning design: How the people-based design process works - Enabling e-Learning).

By bringing together our understanding of pedagogy with the process of design thinking we are able to connect with students to redefine the way we organise our learning environments. Steve Collis explains in the following video.

How could you use the design thinking process in your classroom with your learners?

If you're already using the design thinking process, what has been your experience with your learners?

Join us for a webinar on Wednesday 25 May where we will hear from Hayden and Philippa who have been using this process with their students.

smiley LIVE WEBINAR: Learning design - people-based design thinking, 25 May @ 3:45-4:45 pm
