Hi Everyone, I am keen to make contact with schools that are using Lightspeed. We have signed up for this but am wanting ideas on how schools are using the system and how they set up their ipads initially, any pit falls or quick tips appreciated.

    Hi Tracey (just re-read the date!)  And Karen

    I'm using Casper.  I'm not sure how similar it is to Lightspeed.  I manage 143 iPads broken down into 7 Management groups (Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, Montessori, Y7-8, and Assistive Tech).  I have home folders on each iPad, Literacy, Numeracy, Sharing Learning, Recording, Coding, Google/Apple) and Drive, Safari and QR Reader on the Home Bar.  The apps are not the same for each group, so I need to add the app (using VPP) then add it to the appropriate folder on each profile that requires it.  It seems a bit of double handling but once they're all trucking along, I shouldn't have to add lots more apps.  I have Restrictions and wifi settings pushed out to ALL iPads, but exclude the Assistive Tech ones, as they need their GAFE accounts on them.  

    I don't use User accounts.  It is what it is so Teachers don't need to manage them.

    Oh we have a Mac Mini with Configurator that acts as our Server to push out apps, updates etc.  We are a Windows domain otherwise.
