We have completed the first term of a 3 term innovation. We are working towards using online supports such a google doc and wiki to support teachers to deliver inquiry style PE programme. The innovation is in the delivery method of the PD and the nature of the programme.

The feedback to date is that the face to face support (visits and workshops) is far more useful than the online support. I'm tempted to reduce the face to face aspect to make the online content the only support however the growth represented through teacher's ability to discuss hauora and "what is quality?" combined with their positivity about the new programme makes me not want to throw the baby out with the bath water.

I'd be keen to open up the online programme (1 term out of 4 - delivered through wikispaces) to see what others think?

Hi Tim, I'd deliberately stayed out of this chat so that other folks might join in :)

I hope you've had some good responses via other channels.

Seems to me that your grappling with that classic balancing act between what the 'users' want right now and what 'different thing' they might really like if they could try it in action.

I took a day's annual leave recently and self-funded my way to a one day Lean Innovation event.

One of my takeaways from that day was the idea that the it's way more important to fall in love with the problem, rather than with the solution :).

    Tricky stuff ...

And thanks for our communications over the last month or so, it's been a privilege to experience your drive and knowledge! Go well Tim.
