New voice typing in Google Doc's

Hi all

Try this new voice typing (speech recognition) in gdocs - so easy to use and has really good accuracy. I have just tested it and got 97% accuracy (14 errors in 396 words) which is comparable with most of the other speech recognition tools I have tried.

Plus of course it's free!

To access it:

  • Open a google doc
  • Go to the tools menu
  • Select voice typing.....if you don't see it contact your google administrator and ask for it to be enabled.

For more information about my test results and recommendations across various operating systems see my Speech recognition review results doc.

I also like the name of this tool - voice typing - and think it is a good term to adopt as it clearly defines what the tool does.

Regards

Lynne
