Hi everyone,

Did you know that it's gifted awareness week (NZGAW)? I thought some of you might be interested in the up-coming launch of the New Zealand book "Giftedness in the Early Years: Informing Learning and Teaching". It looks to be a great resource for those working with children aged from birth to eight years. It is being launched at the "Many Faces of Giftedness" conference coming up 3-5 July in Hamilton. For more information about the book launch and the activities on offer for educators, parents and curious children visit http://nzagc-40th-anniversary.org.nz/?page_id=1982

For other information on gifted education you can go to www.tki.gifted.org.nz or www.liftingthelid.weebly.com. Or to access speaker's for PD, member's of giftEDnz, the professional association for gifted education can select a speaker to visit and apply for funding to cover the costs.

There is even a Gifted Awareness blog tour on at the moment - this is an annual event but well worth checking out for the array of topics being covered.

See you at the "Many faces of giftedness" conference if you come. :)
