What are the implications for our school and our custer on the messages from the local hapu?

Where to now? The links between our definitions between student voice and student agency. Can we substitute student for community/hapu?

    Student Voice

    Student Agency

    Student Leadership

There is a genuine commitment from other stakeholders to enable students to be heard respectfully and an agreement that that will be acted upon.

Students have a genuine role to play in action that results from issues they have contributed to; students have been scaffolded to understand and self direct the process of learning.

Occurs naturally when stakeholders enable and listen respectfully to student voice.

Kia ora tātou. I te tuatahi, ngā mihi nui ki Ngāti Te Roro o Te Rangi ki to koutou koha i tohatohaina inanahi nei. Tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou.

Yesterday, in the excellent kauwhau from Ngāti Te Roro o Te Rangi, they shared their educational vision and why and how they work with the Eastern Rotorua LCN to ensure that their, and all children enjoy educational success. They suggested that we use Whakapūmautia, Papakōwhaitia, Tau ana - Grasp, embrace and Realise; conducting excellent relationships between iwi and the Ministry of Education with the shared goal of 'Māori enjoying educational success as Māori', to guide schools in their work with their hapū, iwi, and Māori communities.  It has been uploaded to LCN Regional Networking Days 2014  Group files.
