I'd like our students to take time each week, fortnight or month to clean out their folders on our computers as I think it's just good practice among other things.  Are there any other teachers out there that do this and how have they taught this process in class? What, when and how? I've seen literally hundreds upon hundreds of selfies, videos, music, etc.  I have wondered if this in any way slows everything down.

Yes our older students have stared culling their files & re-creating new ones for the year & in terms. We use the LCD for students to follow during their computer time in the computer suite or when they are using the mobile laptops & on our classroom computer.  Photos & videos do take up alot room & yes it can slow things down. Yes it is a habit that needs to be maintained by teachers into their weekly fortnightly roster
