Term 4 Regional Networking Days for Central North, Central South and Southern Regions

First Agenda Item: Effective and Innovative Learning Environments

Please share this link with your network members and encourage the students, whānau, iwi and community, and teachers to contribute to this discussion online.

The Eastern Rotorua Learning and Change Network, the South Wairarapa Network and the Whitestone Network are hosting websites to capture the ideas of your priority learners, their families, teachers, leaders and wider community. Contributions are welcomed from ALL schools from ALL networks in our region.

Some examples and links to NZ and Global thinking about different learning environments are on the site.

This is a great opportunity for us to include our priority students, their whānau, the iwi and the wider community, in the Learning and Change Networks Regional Networking Day, even if they can't attend in person.

Click on the appropriate link below to view and make your contributions online.

Andrea Scanlan came across a recent article by David Istance and Marco Kools ( OECD Work on Technology and Education ) that presents a summary of OECD work in the field of education and technology along with 'innovative learning environments'. She found reading this article timely, given the exciting development of students, teachers, leaders, families being invited to contribute to the blog about innovative learning environments leading up to the next series of regional meetings. If you have time to read it we would be interested in hearing your opinions.
