I see that on the new iOS 6 iPad upadte, Apple has taken the requirement off for the use of a password on the downloading of free apps.  We have 85 iPads in our school and use Meraki to manage these.  Does anyone know of a way of reinstating the requirement for a password as we do not want unlimited access to free apps for the children?  Thanks

also under restrictions -you can change the "require password" setting from the default 15min to immediately.

If you leave it at the default 15min, theres a window where after entering a password to install an app, you can install other apps without entering the password again for 15min.

    Eric is correct.

The restriction limits though the restriction also limits them being able to change accounts to install other apps too :)

You need to set a password in 'restrictions' for installing and deleting apps (an in app purchases).

This prevents them seeing or using the 'app store' icon and function completely on the local device... though I'm pretty sure Meraki will still apply/update the apps as needed.

    hope this helps :)

I don't think it's changed when installing new apps. You no longer need a password to update apps.
