Virtual Learning Network

To get us started and begin to develop our community we will hold our initial f2f meetings in Rotorua and Napier on the 24th September 2013. These meetings  will be linked online and will be a blend of f2f and online workshops from both venues. So Register NOW  and be in to kick off our Leading Effective e-Learning community. 10.40- 11.10:  Establishing relationships

 -Getting to know each other. Discuss what you want to get out of the day;  

11.10-12-10:  What is going on in other schools

 -Using online tool to share our experiences.

What makes an effective Online Professional Learning Community? What does it involve, what tools are available and how are they useful to personal/professional learning and development .

1.15 - 2.00:      Identifying needs of the schools:

-Discussions around school’s needs for: eLearning, eLeaders. Finding schools with similar needs.

2.00 -2.45:     How to participate and contribute in online environments:

 -Establish VLN accounts, make friends, leave comments, share goals.

2.45 -3.30   Identifying ways of working together:

-Using the online environment to cluster and collaborate based on needs.

-Tools that assist with collaborating and clustering

-Identifying our next steps
