iBooks is a great place to look for electronic eBooks.  Published books are available to suit a range of readers. As well as paid books, there are regularly free books available for children.  These tend to be by unknown or self-published authors so you need to search through for quality but there are some great stories out there including some written for children by children.  You can check these out by selecting the children's and young adult's option ->top charts -> free books.

At the moment iBookstore have a selection of 'first in a series' books available for free, normally there is a charge for these books.  Check them out by visiting the iBookstore (either via the iPad) or on iTunes, scroll down to the featured books and these will appear.

Thanks for this Tara, do you happen to know if there is anyway my class can share the ebooks they have created, uploaded, downloaded and stored in the iBooks library on one of our class iPads other than downloading individually onto all the others?  In otherwords is there anyway to share a class created library of ebooks easily?
