Google Apps vs Office 365

Which way do we go to meet the needs of the learners? - keeping mind we are tansitioning to become a fully operational BYOD school by the start of 2015. We have had teachers trial Google apps with great success -- I have not used 365 as yet. Anyone that has used both applications can you provide any feedback/forward?

We have been looking at this too.  We have opted for Google Apps because we like the simplicity of the solution.  We were concerned about the technical issues of implementing 365 and the impact that those issues might have on staff.  We now have a large number off staff playing with Google Drive anyway and finding it easy to pick up.  We will still have Office which staff can use if they choose to.  Most staff have simple formatting needs and can convert documents to pdf, which Google can handle, if they want to.

Another of those pros and cons debates .... Cry

    Hi Shanthan

What I meant was that we still have Office software on our school computers so that teachers who want to use it for preparing documents can do so.  If the documents are highly formatted but don't need to be edited by students then they can upload these to Google Drive in pdf format which keeps the formatting intact.  They can also have SkyDrive on their laptops if they want it, but they don't have the full Office 365 functionality.
