YouTube uploads available within the school domain only (QR code and blog)

This topic arose at one of my schools who has recently started using GAFE e.g. we are setting up a number of blogs etc. For the library we are videoing students giving book reviews. We upload these videos to YouTube, create QR codes and have these in the wall displays so students can use the school iPads to scan and watch the book reviews. We are also thinking about linking these videos into the new library blog.

To keep our students safe we want the videos only be visible to users from our school domain. At this stage this is easy, we can just set the videos to private and add every of the currently 10 staff accounts, but we are very likely to add at least the senior students to this count from next year. Is there an easy way to make a YouTube upload available only visible to logged-in users of one domain? How would we go about this? We looked at youtube.com/schools, this school is linked to it, but when we selected upload it took us back to the regular upload screen with no option to specify beyond "public", "anyone with the link" and "private".

We were unable to view the private YouTube clips we inserted into the library blog though the logged-in teacher had access rights to both the blog and the clips - any suggestions where we might have gone wrong?

Many thanks for your help!

If you upload the videos to your Google Drive you can stiil view it as a video but I think you can fine tune who you want to share the video with through the share options in Google Drive - good for allowing members of your Google apps domain to only have access.

Google drive video share options 2.

    Google drive video share options.
